Hyper Attention is an experimental audiovisual installation that investigates the fragmented, overstimulated nature of modern attention. The project draws inspiration from the theory of hyper attention as defined by media theorist N. Katherine Hayles—characterized by rapid task-switching, high levels of stimulation, and shallow engagement.
The project critiques contemporary information consumption patterns and poses the question: In a world saturated with signals, can we still focus? Or has our perceptual system evolved to thrive in distraction? Through immersive sensory immersion, Hyper Attention explores this tension and invites viewers into a meditation on overstimulation.
